Occupational Therapy Services -Askeaton, Co. Limerick

About Hannah
Hi, I'm Hannah — an Occupational Therapist with years of experience working across both the UK and Ireland. My practice is rooted in helping people live more independently and confidently in their own homes, especially when day-to-day life becomes more challenging due to illness, injury, or age-related changes.
I specialise in supporting people with instrumental activities of daily living — from getting around the home safely, to managing personal care, cooking, or simply enjoying the spaces that matter most. I also provide professional reports and assessments for housing adaptation grants and stairlifts, and offer guidance through the application process with your local council.
When I'm not working, I'm usually joined by my cheerful sidekick Bailey — my gentle, tail-wagging cockapoo who occasionally accompanies me on visits and always wins hearts.
I bring a friendly, down-to-earth approach to my work and believe in making real-life improvements that feel practical, meaningful, and achievable for every client I support.
Services

Functional Assessment & Intervention
If you're experiencing difficulties with day-to-day activities — whether at home or in the community — I can provide a comprehensive occupational therapy assessment to understand your needs.
This may be followed by personalised advice, practical strategies, and a structured intervention plan to support your independence and wellbeing.
My goal is to help you participate more fully in the activities that are meaningful to you, in a way that feels both achievable and sustainable.

Home Modifications
When illness, injury, or age-related changes impact your ability to manage daily tasks, your home can start to feel like more of a challenge than a comfort.
As an Occupational Therapist, I can help you adapt your living environment so that it supports your independence, safety, and wellbeing. Together, we'll find practical, achievable solutions that fit your lifestyle and goals.

Fatigue Management
Fatigue can affect your ability to take part in everyday life — whether it's getting through your workday, caring for loved ones, or simply enjoying the activities that matter to you.
I offer personalised fatigue management plans that help you understand your energy levels, build sustainable routines, and regain control over your daily life.
Together, we'll work toward restoring balance, conserving energy, and reconnecting you with what's meaningful.

Stairlift Assessments & Grant Support
If stairs are becoming difficult to manage, a stairlift can make a big difference in staying safe and independent at home. I can assess your needs and your home environment to determine whether a stairlift is the right solution for you.
I also provide guidance and supporting documentation for Housing Adaptation Grant applications, helping you navigate the process with confidence and ease.

Equipment Assessments
The right equipment can make everyday tasks easier, safer, and more manageable — whether that's at home, work, or in the community. I provide detailed assessments to identify what equipment or aids may best support your needs, from mobility supports to bathing and kitchen adaptations.
All recommendations are tailored to your individual circumstances, with clear guidance on how to use equipment effectively and confidently.

Cognitive Assessments
Cognitive assessments can help identify changes in memory, attention, problem-solving, and other aspects of thinking that may be affecting daily life. I use standardised tools such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and the Addenbrooke's Cognitive Examination (ACE-III) to evaluate cognitive function in a structured, supportive way.
These assessments can be useful in understanding difficulties, informing care planning, and guiding further medical or therapeutic support where needed.
I aim to keep my pricing transparent and fair. If you're unsure what service you need, I'm happy to discuss options in a free initial chat.
